Electronic Switch Solutions
Our patented Duraswitch technology is the culmination of efforts to develop a low-cost, dependable electronic switch that combines the touch or click of buttons, rotary knobs, slide or rocker switches into a flat panel membrane design.

It is the use of permanent magnets in switches that makes our technologies unique. Although many electronic products utilize magnets - they are common and often integral parts of motors, cd-players and computers - the switch industry has not taken full advantage of the benefits magnets offer. These developments capitalize on the inherent properties of magnetism to create an elegant, robust and highly customizable user interface solution, thereby offering numerous advantages over traditional electromechanical and membrane switches.

For example, our PushGate pushbutton technology uses the simple combination of a metal actuator and a permanent magnet to create a pushbutton with superior tactile feedback that does not degrade over time or use. Because it uses the natural force of magnetism instead of flexing domes or springs, PushGate is substantially more durable than conventional switch technologies.

Our thiNcoder thin rotary switch similarly uses magnets in the knob to turn gold-plated balls on a circuit to open and close the switch. thiNcoder is the only rotary design that can be integrated directly onto a flex circuit with other switch technologies or used as a stand-alone rotary switch.

MagnaMouse employs a centered armature and magnet to create a multi-directional switch that can be used as a rotary replacement, cursor or menu control, or as the switch mechanism in joysticks.

Our core technology is very flexible, allowing for a wide range of configurations that are not easily achieved with conventional switch technologies.

We also continue to innovate. The latest development in this area is PushFlex. This new technology represents a low cost refinement of the core Duraswitch technology.
